North Jakarta SDA Builds Water Channel in Kapuk Muara Settlement

The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is seen building a new water channel on Jalan Kapuk Muara, Gang Madrasah, RT 03/01, Kapuk Muara Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district.

Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi said it was to follow up on residents' proposals through the 2021 Musrenbang. They proposed the construction of channel to overcome the inundation problem.

"This is because the water often stagnates in residential areas when it rains heavily," he expressed, Tuesday (3/1).

He continued the work on the channel construction was carried out starting today, involving as many as five personnel. it was done 30 meters in length.

Its channel would have 60 centimeters in width with 50 centimeters in height and was targeted to be complete three weeks ahead.

"Hopefully, the weather and the field situation are on our side thus everything goes smoothly and finishes on time," he hoped.
